Fast-paced clinical updates
Both Friday and Saturday mornings featured quick-hit plenary sessions led by clinical experts, covering timely topics including menopause care, diabetes, vaccines/RSV, hypertension, aortic stenosis, ADHD, aeroallergen immunotherapy, pediatric asthma care and more.
A keynote on leadership, connection and the future of NP practice
We welcomed Dr. Matthew Chow, Chief Mental Health Officer at TELUS Health, for this year’s keynote presentation: Beyond the Scope: How NPs are Redefining Leadership and Connection.
Afternoon concurrent sessions and workshops
The afternoon program offered deeper dives into emerging initiatives and practical approaches that are helping strengthen NP care. Sessions explored topics including mentorship models, Indigenous cultural safety and humility, data-informed practice, mental health outcomes, substance use care, sex and gender differences in clinical care, NP professional development and more.
Provincial and national updates
Attendees heard directly from BC’s Provincial Chief Nursing Officer Kerry Morrison and the Nurse Practitioner Association of Canada, with updates on the evolving NP landscape provincially and across Canada.
A Friday networking reception designed for connection
On Friday evening, NPs, partners and sponsors came together for a relaxed networking reception featuring delicious catered appetizers, drinks, music from a live DJ and plenty of time to connect informally with colleagues from across the province.
